Busy as a bee!!

This little bee buzzed all the way off to England to live with Alison, who won my giveaway!

I had so much fun making the pouch out of fresh and toning fabrics. Although I know my very favourite feature was the awesome vintage gold zip I had picked up at a thrift store….. which was the perfect shade of blue!

I used a lovely french script print for the inside. Here’s your “insider” tip – use a light coloured fabric to line your bags and pouches. It makes things much easier to find in there!

And some fun birdies for the back of the pouch. Of course, it didn’t travel alone…..

I included this very practical and fun craft apron with it… handy pockets for scissors or rotary cutters (safety lock on, of course!).

My very first every attempt at a Dresden Fan appliquéd using the blanket stitch on my Janome. Lots of turning to get around all those points!

And I matched the fabric up across these two extra pockets as well. The whole thing was made from a pattern in an earlier issue of “Love Patchwork & Quilting” magazine.

Of course, I think a packet of Tim-tams might have snuck into this parcel also…. because what’s a zip pouch without some chocolate!

Alison Parcel

I’m sure that Alison enjoyed opening up her special prize parcel.

So, what would you like to see for my next giveaway? Tell me in the comments and we will get started planning it for early next year!

Thank you so much Cassandra! This arrived on the first day of my holiday, it was such a super start to a very busy week. Your photo’s are great but it is so much more gorgeous in real life … such a lot of hard work, I’m so delighted it was me who won!

For your next giveaway I would like to win a visit from you in person so we can hang out together and giggle our little heads off whilst we sew and munch on chocolate.
