Make Modern magazine interview

Have you seen Make Modern magazine? It’s in it’s third issue and going from strength to strength. The brain-child of three Australian quilters, it’s a digital magazine for the modern quilting community, featuring fresh patterns, tutorials and all our favourite stars from the online modern quilting universe.

I was beyond excited when one of the three amazing women behind Make Modern asked me if I would be interviewed for an article she wanted to write about Chronic Illness and quilting. I know that my illness isn’t something I share a lot about on the blog here, however it seemed like a fabulous opportunity to help others to understand my limitations, but mostly my strengths.

The article features myself and the fabulous Fiona, aka @bendigolioness and it is a frank look at what our illnesses mean to our lives and it’s impact on them daily. But we have both found our sanity through our crafting, and connection with our online communities and each other.

Also featured in Issue 3 is an interview with Angie Wilson of Gnomeangel (you met her HERE first folks!), a chat with the ever-talented Kate Spain about fabric designing and her process, and some beautiful modern patterns that are going on my must make list.
