Quilty Sisters parcel from Brenda

Don’t you just love to get #happymail ? Whether it’s a sweet card in the post, or even a bundle of fabric that you bought yourself, there’s still a thrill with getting an old fashioned piece of mail. Something special, perhaps handwritten. Maybe it’s something that the sender chose, especially for YOU.

I got one of those awesome parcels last week from Brenda, and I must admit it certainly came on the perfect day when I really needed to feel a bit special. All beautifully wrapped up with tissue paper and ribbon, just how every good parcel starts! But what was inside it really blew me away…..

All these delicious treasures!!

She included treats for the puppies, as well as the kids and some special American treats for me. A ball of yarn in the most sweetest colours, body wash and milk, some fun owl themed crafts, and that gorgeous glittery card! Of course, I loved more what was written inside it.

Then we come to the fabric part of the parcel….. my bee block which is Cordelia’s garden, with a matching mini with the sweetest monogram C appliquéd in the centre. A stack of Tula Pink Moon Shine fabrics, just to feed my addiction. I love that she included a family snapshot with her signature block, Brenda I’ve put that straight up on my noticeboard!

Of course, you know where this mini is already, right? Yes, straight up onto the Blind of Awesome!

I love my Tula Pink bee block so much. This quilt is going to look really amazing.

I think one of the best reasons for joining in bees or swaps, or doing private swaps with friends is all wrapped up in this parcel. Your craft, care and attention is all wrapped up for them, and you just never know that it might make a bad day suddenly go a lot better.

Are you a swapaholic? Or do you hold back? Let us know, and why, in the comments!!

I love the extra touch of including her family picture. It makes it so personal.
