Quilting studio renovation – Week 5

posted in: Juicy Quilting, Quilting, Winnie | 2

Just a really quick update this week I’m afraid. Poor builder John was out sick for the entire week, he has come down with this terrible virus that has been making the rounds. He dragged himself over on Saturday because he was getting stressed about being behind.

DH lent him some muscle and they got the ceiling up in the sewing studio! It’s nearly a complete room now, although with grey walls and no lights it feels a little small and gloomy. Never fear, my obsessive love of colourful accessories will take care of that. The gyprock flusher has been booked, so the end is in sight. I better hurry up and choose a paint colour. Who knew there were so many shades of white?!?

All that remains to be done is some insulation on the wall and the whole ceiling in the longarm room, and then the sheets go up. That’s another two person job so I’m not sure how/when that will be done.

Currently I’m looking at moving in and officially launching in October at this stage. I’m so excited that I will be sharing my adventures with you from my amazing new space.Happy Crafting - Cassie.

    Hi Cass,
I have a question about your vintage journals. If I send you some old books, could you do them for me? I have some “let God be true” the old paradise books and others. If so how much would it cost.
    Thanks lindy
