Slashed Stars on the quilting frame

Yes, I’m back!! I had a few weeks off to catch up on some deadlines and I thought I’d ease back into things by sharing this beauty…. Badskirt Amy’s Slashed Stars bee quilt. What a stunner it is too, with bright pops of gold, fuchsia and contrasting Essex Linen for the background. So soft and textured.

Amy selected my favourite digital pantograph for the quilting, the same Water Drops design I used on my Candy Ripples quilt. Stitched in a soft silver thread it blends into the background here, but leaves the amazing texture behind.

The backing doesn’t show the quilting up much, but it still adds interest to the pattern.

You can read Amy’s post about the quilt top HERE…. and she links there to the free pattern if you want to make these beautiful blocks yourself!

Here’s hoping that next week I can get back to some regular sewing, sharing and blogging…. with maybe a little bit of fun quilting to share with you.
