Satisfied, Sleepy and a little sideways

posted in: home | 1

I have a good friend, one of those that we lived with during our very eventful December. One day that horrid week, she and I looked at each other and decided that we didn’t want to do housework or errands or anything like that. Figuratively tossed our aprons into the house and went out for a long lazy lunch.

It has taken us this long to do it again. Usually one or the other of us has been busy, but I have 3 days off this week and I’m making the most of it. Yesterday I walked – 5km’s. The longest walk I have done since I started keeping track. Yesterday I also brushed the dog. If you meet my dog, you’ll know why this is worthy of comment. She is very fluffy and does NOT like to be brushed.

Today was the reward day. {A} and I had *gasp* reservations for lunch at this gorgeous cellar door bistro just a couple of kilometres away from where she lives. She had found this place out driving and arranged it all for us. They were BUSY. Only open since October, but really making a name for themselves. Lots of reviews etc. Including 2 seperate journalists there during our lunch – 1 with a tv camera filming outside. (Magnificent views) and one with a pro-photographer taking photos of their lunch by a big well-lit window 2 tables over from us. Which was a little distracting as I was trying to surreptitiously check out her gear 😉

So we had gorgeous posh food, with a glass of their own wine (hence the little sideways in my title) and then luscious dessert and rolled on home to normality. With a thud.

I’m definitely going back there for some wine-tasting, and I’m taking my camera this time.

Meanwhile you’ll just have to visit their website, and if you make it here to visit me, I promise to take you!Happy Crafting - Cassie.

Wow, that sounds like so much fun! And yummie too. I’ve always wanted to visit Australia, and stopping by to meet you in person would definitely be top on my list of things to do!
