Just thought I’d pop in to share with you my view over the last few days…. as I have been busy chain piecing and pressing.pressing.pressing on our challenge quilt top for this month…
To recap, this is our quilt choice for the month , titled Vintage
This is what all the pieces cut up neatly look like. I am only making the quilt 3 blocks by 3 blocks, so it will end up about 60 inches square – still manageable to quilt at home on my Janome.
I have been piecing away on my gorgeous vintage Bernina Record 730, that machine just keeps on humming. Although I had to replace the lightglobe on it – here’s a tip. Go to the hardware store, not the sewing store. I got an oven bulb, same size and wattage, for $3.50!
Of course, I couldn’t leave out my faithful sidekick, here carrying around her favourite new toy, one of *skips* woollen socks. She even can fetch it on command. At 5 1/2 months old, she has the most adorable personality developing, and has mountains of love to give us all.
Stay tuned, I will be back before you know it with a finished quilt top for May!!
