Garlic Focaccia, the easiest way to impress the men!

Do you have a hard to feed family? Are you surrounded by menfolk who eat like bottomless pits, but are picky to boot?

I have the same sort of challenges, especially to find something to add to a main meal that my fussy boys will like. This bread was super easy, super quick, and vanished in a puff of crumbs.

Using the pizza/flatbread version of the the dough from “Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day“, previously blogged about, here, way back in 2011. I’ve been loving on this book for that long!

Step one, roll out your dough to a rough oval, about an inch or just under thick.

Slash across the surface thoroughly. You want to give that baby plenty of space to puff!

Cover liberally in good quality olive oil, homegrown minced garlic, rosemary leaves and some fresh ground salt.

Bake in the oven until lightly golden, crusty and hollow sounding when you tap. Pull her out, and try to let her cool before the hordes dig in.

Bon Appetit!

This looks delicious! I will have to give it a try. I used to work in the kitchen of a pub that served sandwiches on split focaccia bread…but my favorite way to eat it is dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar!
