Here is a long overdue update for the Aussie Modern Instabee. I recieved these two blocks from Wendy and Jenn right as I was packing the studio up before the move. Now I’ve unpacked and sorted everything out, and I had to share their beauty with you!
Firstly is Wendy’s aqua beauty…. filled with little fabric treasures, and some extra fabric ready to make another block or two!
Then we have teal magnificence from Jenn…
The wonderful girl also included enough fabrics ready cut for two more blocks!! Including some amazing out of print impossible to find treasures – Mendocino Mermaids anyone?
Although they both seem blue, they are actually completely different shades and complement each other beautifully. I am seriously crushing on these shades at the moment. They make my heart happy!
Because I had my collection of bee blocks out to put these away, I couldn’t resist giving my new design wall a spin…
This is only as many blocks as I could fit on, there are still several more that didn’t fit in. Now I’ve nearly got them all, I can start thinking about a wonderful rainbow layout.
I think my favourite part of this design is the way the different colours mix together at the block intersections. Lots of opportunities for playing with colours here.
So, what do you think? Rainbow or Random arrangement?
