Tula Puppies are ready to be quilted!

I’m only giving you a sneak peek today, because I am hoping to have an ACTUAL quilt to share with you soon. I’ve been really busy behind the scenes with customer work and quilts that I can’t share with you, so it will be great to have something that I made just for me, just because I could.

My goodness, the fabric pull and these initial blocks were started in September 2 years ago. Talk about finishing off some old WIP’s!

I made 8 blocks in total, these were posted in January 2016. Then I stalled for over a year as Juicy Quilting took off and my other sewing pushed these poor puppies into the background.

Here is one beautifully sashed and pressed quilt top, complete with backing (berries with metallic gold accents) and some Tula Pink Saltwater that I picked up at my LQS which is just screaming out to be a graphic binding. The colours pull out all the warm tones that went into these gorgeous babies. Now everything is carefully measured, labelled and put away in the quilting cupboard ready for a break in traffic. I can’t wait to share the lounge with 12 Dog Gone Cute puppies as well as our own 2 babies who definitely have a thing for Mum’s quilts.

Is there anything more satisfying that moving along a seriously stuck and stale WIP? In the end it was finding the binding that gave me the push to get this ready for quilting. What do you find helpful for that push?
