I’m not sure how much I’ve mentioned it here before, but I love lending to entrepreneurs around the world through Kiva.org
I thought I’d post this in honour of my 20th loan! The best part about my Kiva account is that I am able to use the repayments I receive from 1 person to fund my next loan, so my original 3 loans of $25 each, are still going strong, 2 years on.
Everyone has a personal way of choosing who to make loans to, however I’ve been having a wonderful time on a trip around the world – making 20 loans to women, men and groups, in 20 different countries! I have helped finance loans in:
Sierra Leone | |
Rwanda | |
Philippines | |
Peru | |
South Sudan | |
Tajikistan | |
Uganda | |
The Democratic Republic Of The Congo | |
Tanzania | |
Paraguay | |
Pakistan | |
Chile | |
Cambodia | |
Burkina Faso | |
Dominican Republic | |
Ghana | |
Mexico | |
Kosovo | |
Honduras | |
Bolivia |
But here’s the best part – for people who are new to Kiva,
