A Bee-autiful parcel for Brenda

I am so excited that Brenda has received her #quiltysistersinstabee parcel (sent out just a little overdue, cough cough) and I can share it with you. As usual I had as much fun wrapping it as I did creating it!

I thought these stickers were particularly cute.

First off her Modern Bee – Triple star block. This one was right up my alley in shades of blue, aqua, teal and mint. Loved it so much, it has inspired my own selection for a new bee quilt!

Then we have all the fun extras! The Tim Tams were in the parcel with the “Slice of the good life” sticker. Enough said! 😉

I went with a bee theme – from the Tula pink fabric with a bee hiding in the block, to the Ribbon key-fob and the bee charm hanging on the triangle pouch. The pouch was made in fabrics to match the block. Also – B is for Buttons, and Book!

Her lovely vintage blue book, with matching end-paper, ribbon, and gift tag. Ok, so maybe I went a little overboard, but I had fun! Apparently it arrived for her on just the right day, and really gave her a bit of a cheer up. So I call that a successful mission.

Do you theme your gifts, even when they aren’t specifically for a swap?

Your swap packages are so nicely packaged and, of course, the contents are always beautiful! I can imagine having a theme helps coordinate the extras and wrapping. I think I subconsciously follow a “theme” if the swap isn’t theme centered.

Thankyou for your sweet compliments! It helps when you know a little bit about the recipient, even a favourite colour gives you something to base your parcel on 🙂

A beautiful parcel indeed. What a joy to open a package and find that inside. You’ve been very generous.

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I have so much fun making parcels that I have trouble knowing when to stop!
