Creativity….

I’ve been thinking about this for a while… left brain vs right brain etc. Allowing ourselves the freedom to express our creativity without fear or bar. I know that Amy has done some work on this in the last week, and it is making a real difference to her.

Over the weekend, I met a guy who STRONGLY recommended I go check out “The Radiant Vista” website. It is all about photography, and some photoshop. Other events of the weekend put it out of my mind, but this morning I made it there, and was very glad that I did. They have a bi-weekly podcast, the latest episode was about the importance of play and right brain meditative state in opening up your mind to creative possibilities. VERY Ali Edwards. They also have a daily critique, where an expert photographer looks at a submitted image and tells you a) why it works and b) how it might work even better. I’ve subscribed to both feeds, but I haven’t even finished going through the site yet.

I also strongly recommend it. For assistance, inspiration, and possibly, freedom.

I have been tagged a couple of times by various people in the last week or so. I am getting to it, I’m just snowed under at the moment. Lots and lots happening, and hence the obsession with creativity. I have a deadline looming, and I only started work on the layout last night. The article is shaping up, but I need to put my head down and focus on it. As part of my streamlining, I have stepped down from serving on Monique’s creative team with her move to ScrapArtist. I wish her every joy in her new endeavour, I just can’t keep up myself anymore. I need to get back to having FUN creating my layouts and remove some of the pressure. I had more fun, and created more fabulous layouts doing Funk It Up than I have had in ages, and I want to keep that feeling.

Time to love and leave you! Duty calls 😉Happy Crafting - Cassie.

Wow, Cassie. That site is fabulous. Did you read the article “The Myth of Talent” on there? It is exactly what I needed to see today. Thanks for sharing the link. I’m sure your article will be great – I hope you have a good week! 🙂
