Red Pawpaw – new kid on the block

So, hands up who’s heard of Red Pawpaw? No?

That’s probably because they are brand new, and I’m pretty excited to have found them. They are an Australian company who are partnering with manufacturers to let you try $30 of new grocery products delivered to your door, every month, for only $5. What’s the catch? You get to give them your opinion at the end of the month, what you loved, what you didn’t love, what you will buy again.

I know that we are stuck in a grocery buying rut. We could do our weekly shopping with our eyes closed, we always buy the same brands, the same flavours, over and over. This is a great chance to try some samples of things that are not your every day, and maybe find some new favourites along the way!

Hate surveys? You can sign up for $10 a month instead, it’s still fantastic value.

So, what was in the box for May?

I know that I’ve talked about it before on the blog, but we try very hard to find and support Australian made and grown products, to help keep farmers and manufacturers afloat. Not to mention the various reports that have been made of less than stellar safety standards from overseas, as well as the effects of shipping food halfway around the world. That is why we also support Aussie Farmers Direct, where they work hard to make sure food and fresh produce is local and seasonal, as well as great quality.

Red pawpaw May 2I was super excited to see that Red Pawpaw are also working to support Australian products, with the Taylor’s soup, Saxa products and I was intrigued by the little Henry Jones bottle of Blood Orange and Chia Seeds. A jam, a cheese platter condiment, or even a flavouring to your next smoothie. Can’t wait to open that baby up! So was it worth the $5? Heck yeah. I can’t wait to see what we get for June!!
