For Saturday Stash, I’m sharing some of my new fabric acquisitions. Up until the last couple of months I have bought fabric as needed for each project, but as I have so many quilts and projects on the go, and am constantly being tempted by new beautiful textile goodness, I have been using my pocket money to buy some more fabric just for me.
Today’s stash is brought to you by Fifi’s Fabricology from Queensland. They have an online store as well as a bricks and mortar store, and you can also find them on Facebook and Instagram. Best of all, they offer free postage in Australia for purchases over $50. I hate paying postage! My order was shipped the same day I placed it, and even came with a friendly little smiley face note on the invoice inside. Fantastic service!
For my stash I bought a 25cm cut of everything that they had left in stock of Joel Dewberry’s Aviary 2 range. It’s missing a few key fabrics, but it’s still a delicious pile of goodness. The patterns are so bold and the colours so rich…. how could a girl resist?
I do so love those sparrows on the branches. I managed to get 3 colourways of them, but not the granite one. I will have to keep looking for that.
I can see that I’m going to have to order more of the awesome woodgrain print, it will be the perfect binding for the finished quilt. But in the meantime, these beauties have been lovingly packed away waiting for the perfect project and a spot in the quilt queue. I may bring them out and pat them lovingly once in a while.

I was just thinking how gorgeous that woodgrain print was! Thanks for the tip about Fifi’s
I wish I had been able to get the other woodgrain colour-way, but I’m always on the lookout for a great graphic binding print!
