As I hoped, I did manage to finish my June Simply Retro Challenge quilt top, with 2 hours of the month to spare! Photos had to wait for another day however, so here it is in all it’s glory.
I pressed all my seams carefully so as to nest them where possible, and all the little blocks locked in together beautifully!
I love how the geometric and more modern prints that I had played so nicely with the Mo Bedell Party Dress line that I used…. There is also Moda Giggles, some blenders and spots, and the Colour Box by Cynthia Rowley, which is that very bright geometric print. It just added a bit of punch!
The whole top is 4 blocks square, or 48″ inches. A nice size for a baby quilt. As I was piecing it, I was already planning how I would quilt it, so I think it’s definitely in the queue for a No Buy July finish!
