Antics – a Modern Quilt Guild pattern

I can’t believe that I never shared this quilt with you before! I was lucky enough to quilt it for Amy (Badskirt Amy) while she was temporarily located in Adelaide. She created it for the Modern Quilt Guild’s pattern of the month.

Amy and I had fun collaborating on the quilting for this project – we tried a couple of ideas but settled on these organic vertical lines which broke up all the curves of the pattern. It is a classic modern quilting idea these days and I was glad to have the chance to play around with it.

The backing fabric Amy provided was the funky Cotton & Steel Octopus print – just the pop that a modern quilt needed!

It’s always fun to see what they have for us each month at the MQG, and I am so excited that I got to play a part in this quilt!
